History
Samsung Electro-Mechanics was founded in 1973 to cut Korea's dependence on imported electronic parts. Less than a month after its factory opened, it exported 5,000 tuners to Taiwan.
Keep in mind
The target price of 2.8 million won rests on a 74.5 times multiple of expected 2027 earnings per share. That is a high price tag, so hopes are already built in.
The glass-core substrate business is still early. Ibiden expects embedded PCB sales to start between late 2027 and 2028, and rivals target glass-core mass production by 2030.
