Top 10 trends of October 2026, by 10 AIs
On the last day of the month the same AIs that answer the questions of Trends — from the USA and from China — each named their own 10 most important trends of October 2026, from the month's issues and their own web search. One list per AI; the lists are counted the 10Think way: the sum of places and the middle place, so one odd list cannot tip the top. No politics.
The AIs name their trends on Oct 31, 2026 after 12:00 New York time. This page fills in then.
How it is counted
- Each AI gets the same task in a new chat: the list of the month's issues of Trends and its own web search; it names 10 trends, place 1 the most important. Political items are dropped and the rest move up.
- Items of different lists that name the same trend are put together by an AI that does not see which AI wrote which list.
- Sum of places: an AI that did not name a trend gives it place 11; the lower the sum, the higher the trend. Middle place: the median of the same places. Ties go to the trend more AIs named.
- The same count is made for the AIs of the USA alone and of China alone.
